The Way I See It: Tales and Talks

My life has not been a fairy tale, but oh, the stories I can tell. In fact, I told my wife one story too many, and she told me to write a book. I am working on the book, but in the meantime, I would love to share some of my experiences as a blind man who has spent 30 years working to transform how people with disabilities can move and experience their communities.

Whether it’s my own journey or insights about the powerful impacts that we can have on the mobility of our customers and constituents, I would love the opportunity to share with your organization in a way that will encourage, motivate and perhaps challenge your employees, Board members or other audience members to new levels of engagement and performance. Speaking engagements can either be virtual or in-person, and I will work with you on the specific topic(s) to be covered, the presentation length, and the degree to which you wish to include audience interaction.

If you are searching for a speaker to transform a virtual or in-person event, such as an annual meeting, Board meeting, banquet, or some other organizational event, you have a challenging assignment with extremely high stakes, and the win or the loss comes really, really fast.

Within 15 seconds of a speaker beginning their address, the audience either locks in or checks out.

When they are locked in, the audience listens for the message you want to be shared, and they are more willing to take on whatever call to action you have in mind.

But if the audience checks out, you will have invested much time and effort with little hope of gaining their engagement and buy-in.
